The Trust awarded the school £5,000 in November 2019 in recognition of this most original project, initiated by 6 of the school’s Year 6 pupils. The Business Bananas Club was set up to raise funds to improve the physical health and fitness of the school’s 114 children by creating a new and adventurous playground facility.

These determined young individuals, with the assistance of their School Business Manager and advice from their local bank, and having carried out a survey of all the children, began fundraising for their ‘Trim Trail’. The Club felt that this would not only benefit the school but the whole village community. Once funds are in place the Club are to invite everyone to the ‘open the trim trail event’.
